I finally got a chance to see the Brevard County Museum of Natural History’s permanent exhibit on Windover Pond, one of my all-time favorite archaeological sites. The exhibit contained this unlikely treasure that relates to the First Slayer, another under-appreciated fave: It may not look like much now, but that’s a piece of woven cloth from over 5,000 years ago, possibly 7,000 years ago. (People buried their dead at Windover for a thousand years, maybe a few centuries more; I’m not sure...

I excessively love the fact that the Winchesters are from Kansas, the way I usually love unecessary garnishes on stories. First, it's kind of funny that a state that's hardly made the news for anything since the Dust Bowl era produced the most important family on Earth, if not in the universe.
